Weight loss. Ugh! Are you starting to wonder how often you’re going to have to come back to this topic? Let us assure you that this will be the last time.

If you’re reading our blog, then you’ve already got the exercise part down. But as you built muscle, you started noticing the fat.

The fat won’t go away. So, you added on the age-old low-calorie diet. You’ve had that down for a while. It was looking good at the start, but the great results only went so far.

Now what? We know you. You’re not going to give up. You may, however, need a little extra help.

That help comes in the form of Phentermine #90. Phentermine #90 is one of the most popular, if not THE most popular, weigh-loss drugs in the world. Not just the United States. The WORLD.

Let’s Cut to the Chase

Phentermine #90 is a prescription drug used as a short-term plan, alongside a low-calorie diet and exercise, to increase weight loss. The FDA approved it over 62 years ago for short-term use (12-weeks) by people who are 16+.

You may be cringing right now at the thought of using Phentermine because of the mess that happened in the ’90s with Fe-Phen. Don’t forget, though, that Fen-Phen contained two other drugs (fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine) besides Phentermine. Those two drugs were pulled from the market by the FDA after reports of significant heart problems in users. Phentermine remains fully approved.

How Phentermine #90 Works

Phentermine belongs to the group of medicines known as appetite suppressants (anorectics) that significantly decrease the desire for extra calories, speed up metabolism and increase fat burning. Its chemical structure is similar to amphetamine, but we’ll get into that a little later.

Because Phentermine suppresses your appetite, the number of calories you eat decreases, leading to weight loss. Researchers are still working out the details, but they think phentermine #90 works by increasing neurotransmitter levels in your brain. (6 7) These chemical messengers include norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine.

When their levels go up, your appetite goes down. Some people build a tolerance to Phentermine within a few weeks. This doesn’t mean you need to take more. This means you need to quit taking it.

The Proof is in the…Phentermine

Clinical studies have shown that the average weight loss from Phentermine is about 5% of your body weight. Over the course of 12 weeks, you could lose as much as 10%. (8)

A meta-analysis of six studies showed that people who took the average dose of 27.5 mg of Phentermine for 13 weeks lost an average of 13.9 pounds (6.3 kg). That’s more than twice as much as the people who took a placebo!

The Positive Side Effects of Weight Loss

We know you have your reasons for wanting to lose weight. We’re not just gym rats. We’re also health nuts.

We know that your health is just as important to you as it is to us. Where would we be without our health? Don’t answer that!

Weight loss has many health advantages, including:

  • Improved insulin sensitivity
  • Improved blood sugar control
  • Positive effects on triglyceride and cholesterol levels (1617)

Side Effects and Precautions

Phentermine #90 is tolerated by most people, but there are a few common side effects that come with short-term use, including:

  • Dizziness
  • Dry mouth
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Irritability
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation

Although it’s been FDA-approved since 1959, Phentermine safety has not been studied for long-term use because it was designed for short-term use only. However, the FDA has approved long-term use for Phentermine in combination with topiramate because the dosage of the two ingredients is lower than the maximum doses of the individual drugs (22)

Skip It If…

If you have heart disease, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, or if you’re pregnant or nursing, you shouldn’t take phentermine. (24)

Phentermine should also not be used if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Dosing Info

Typically, Phentermine is used in obese patients who have not been able to lose weight using diet and exercise alone. The recommended dose is 35.7mg per day for three months. Then you need to take a break for the next three months.

What to Do After the Phentermine #90 Sprint

We know what you’re thinking. Twelve weeks doesn’t seem like long enough to lose that weight. You’re right. In some cases, twelve weeks of prescription weight loss support isn’t enough.

In those cases, our patients usually switch to 5-Amino 1MQ or the Elite Weight Loss Stack I. These can also be used in conjunction with Phentermine #90.

Don’t Lose Sleep Over It

Now let’s swing back around to the fact that Phentermine is similar to the class of drugs known as amphetamines. You can guess where this is going…do not take Phentermine after 3 pm or within 6 hours of bedtime! If you do, you may end up twiddling your thumbs all night.

Ready to Rock This?

Phentermine is a controlled substance which means that it can only be purchased with a prescription from a doctor. Not interested in messing with going to an in-person doctor visit or having to stand in line at the pharmacy? We’ve got your back!
