FALL in Love with Your Skin…

FALL in Love with Your Skin…
September 27, 2021 0 Comments

We Spring forward and fall back when it comes to our seasons, so why not fall back in time when it comes to our skin?

Let’s face it, aging skin isn’t something we look forward to.  The more we look around, the more products, tricks and potions are being thrown at us daily.  One helps with the wrinkles, while the other takes care of those dark spots…but do ANY of them ever REALLY work?  Truth is…you gotta work from the inside out.

Wrinkles and Eye Bags Be Gone

As we age, we begin losing a fancy little C-word called collagen.  Collagen in men and women can begin to fade around the age of 30, and if left alone, never returns.  Collagen is the main protein found in skin and provides strength and structure.  We can protect our collagen with the help of Vitamin C, protein, rest, hydration and protection from UV rays.  What about when we start to lose it?  How can we bring it back?

6 Ways to Boost Collagen

What is collagen?

Collagen is the most prevalent protein found throughout the body.  It can be found in our skin, ligaments, joints, connective tissue etc.  Collagen is responsible for giving our skin its youthful appearance and it is also responsible for taking that look away.  When we do not stimulate its growth, it cannot grow.  If you’ve ever had a houseplant like the fiddle leafed fig, for example, you learn early on about the ways you can stimulate leaf production.  Some leaves grow small and thin while others grow to become huge on thick trunks.  Our skin with collagen stimulation is exactly like the fiddle leaf with specified vitamins and water intake for incredibly beautiful leaves…or skin in our case.

Elite Elastin

Another protein found in our body is known as Elastin.  Elastin earns its name because it allows our heart and arteries to contract and pop back.  Elastin does this same thing for our skin.  We’ve all seen the commercial with Kristen Bell as she pinches her cheek, and we all watch it bounce right back as she tells all of us to use what she’s using on her skin.  That may all be well and good, but beautiful skin starts from within.  Our Collagen and Elastin work together to help our skin stay plump, strong and tight.  A healthy diet is key to keeping our friends C & E working happily together, but that’s not all you will need to keep that healthy glow or bring it back.

Peptide Therapy: Why it Works

Peptides have been around for centuries; we just didn’t know it. Towards the beginning of the 20th century a man by the name of Emil Fischer was considered the originator in defining the term, peptide.  A Peptide defined is simply a chain of amino acids in the body or any living thing that can synthesize into its own biological chemical using a genetic code or (DNA).

In everyday people terms, a peptide is like milk for a newborn baby, it helps stimulate growth of particular cells.  In our case, peptides help stimulate collagen and elastin growth in people!  Simple as that.  If you want your body to start producing more collagen, peptide therapy should be the first place you start.

Our Peptide Therapy includes:

Every product offered within our therapy works in its own special way to heal, protect, grow and maintain or bodies youthful feel and appearance.  Explore our site or click on any of the links above to learn more about each product and connect with us today.  Beautiful skin is never a thing of the past, it can just as easily be seen in your future.

More Ways to Boost Youth…

Water could very well be the fountain of youth, yet dehydration is found more in sick people than actual disease.  Millions of Americans are rushed to the hospital daily thinking they are having a stroke, seizure or aneurysm when the diagnosis was found to be dehydration.  Our bodies are 60% water, so why don’t we drink enough?  When we give our body the required amount needed to stay healthy, we are giving it the best gift we can give ourselves.

Why Water?

Water allows our organs to work better and stronger, resulting in our eyes to staying equipped with proper tear production therefore leading to less cataracts or vision loss.  It allows our nails to stay tough with strong half moon cuticles that are full of vitamins.  It allows our urinary tract to operate correctly, ridding our bodies of excess and toxins.  Did you know that if a person drinks an adequate amount of water daily, they can prevent those bags from forming under the eyes; those aren’t just your grandpa’s eyebags…your grandpa was dehydrated and so are you.

Gimme a C

Along with water, you can have your daily dose of Vitamin C by eating a plethora of foods which include Brussel sprouts, berries, lemons (try putting them in your water), oranges, potatoes, red and green peppers, kiwi, cantaloupe, rose hips (tea), Thyme and more.  Vitamin C also boosts immunity and vitality.

Aloe Vera is SO VERY …

Aloe Vera can most likely be found in every household with children under the age of 15.  Why stop there?  With its healing qualities, it is a wonderful way to keep aging skin feeling vibrant.  Put it directly on your skin daily and see what happens, you’ll be surprised.

Ginseng Makes your Body Sing

Cooking with ginseng or adding it to your tea in the morning not only helps get your day started, it also has several age defying qualities.  This little rooted friend packs a hard punch full of benefits, from anti-aging to anti-inflammatory.  Originally used for its healing properties in Chinese cultures, it quickly made a name for itself all over the world. Careful though, too much of a good thing is still too much…so use sparingly.

Behind every success, is a PLAN!

It’s always good to have a plan.  Never begin a new task or start a new goal without a plan in mind.  So many people decide they will start taking better care of themselves but have no real plan.  Sit down, write it out and do not overwhelm yourself.  Little steps in the right direction will get you closer to your goal quicker than fast steps going in 20 different directions.

Make It A Goal

If anti-aging is your goal, it’s good to know what you’re working with, so understanding your daily routine and making a few changes is a great start. For example, if you never drink water, wake up and make that the first thing you do.  Try adding a few lemon wedges to it for a tart treat that will take its toll on any toxins in your body.  Try adding one of our peptides to your daily routine, not all of them, just one, they all do amazing things and with a consult with one of our doctors on staff, you can figure out which one is right for you.  Lastly, if you don’t have Aloe Vera in your home, go grab a bottle and use it anytime day or night.  See, we just made a plan…now go get started!

Tip of the Day… www.today.com

The start of fall is the perfect time to hit the reset button on your health routines. As kids head back to school and the summer fun comes to a close, we can all take this opportunity to prioritize some of the most important habits that can help keep illness at bay and give you the energy you need to accomplish your goals.

Focus on healthy eating.

Frances Largeman-Roth, RDN, a mom of three, nutrition expert and author of “Smoothies & Juices: Prevention Healing Kitchen” told TODAY that it’s a great idea to focus on foods that boost your immune system as we head into cold and flu season. This includes foods rich in vitamin C such as citrus fruits, green veggies (like broccoli and kale), berries and peppers.

“Vitamin D is also vital, especially as the days get shorter,” said Largeman-Roth. “We can get vitamin D from eggs and fatty fish like Alaska salmon and Alaska halibut, which are wild-caught, sustainable and also provide essential omega-3 fatty acids. Beta-carotene-rich foods, like carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, kale and mustard greens are also smart to include in the fall for immunity. Lucky for us, they’re all coming into season!” Cheers to FALL Ya’ll!!!!
