 Let LDN Lift You Up!

All the rage is all about Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN).  Why?  Because auto-immune disease and depression anxiety in 2021 just happens to be growing at a rapid rate due to a variety of reasons.  LDN to the rescue!  The benefits of this little white capsule are so profound, it could eventually be as essential as H2O. Not that we are bias or anything.

The Benefits of LDN Include:

  • Reduces Pain and Inflammation
  • Fights Cancer causing free radicals.
  • Improved Mood
  • Weight Loss
  • Better Sleep

This list is just the beginning.  LDN can aide in the fight against a long list of diseases like Hashimoto’s, for instance.  This is because of the way LDN attaches itself to opioid receptors in our brain, as a result, endorphins are ignited.  Endorphins are the feel-good hormones that we experience when we do the things that bring us joy.  For example, exercising, eating, intercourse, and laughter are all major contributors to the release of endorphins.

LDN and Disease

The long list of auto-immune diseases LDN can help aide or eliminate are:

  • Certain types of cancers, such as breast cancer
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Ulcerative colitis
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Chronic pain
  • Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
  • Kawasaki’s disease
  • Epstein Barr virus
  • Pernicious anemia
  • Lupus
  • Scleroderma

We believe this is just the beginning of what LDN can do.  As time marches on, we believe the findings will be groundbreaking in healing our world of so many painstaking diseases.

LDN in 2021

Recent studies have proven substantial benefits in the use of low-dose naltrexone for the treatment of chronic pain.  Diseases such as fibromyalgia, IBS, multiple sclerosis, depression, and anxiety all show a significant reduction in symptoms when treated with LDN.  This is a result of the releasing of inflammatory chemicals in the central nervous system.   The discoveries as to all this little miracle pill can do will only increase as studies continue.

LDN and Diminishing Depression

Due to the insane stresses revolving around our world today, depression and anxiety are at an all-time high.  These stressors are not only mental and emotional, but they are also environmental and physical.  Covid-19 brought about a multitude of new ways to feel stress as millions of people were fired or furloughed from their jobs.  It could all be coincidence, but we are thankful for the years of research surrounding LDN and its’ benefits for a world gone a little (or a lot) crazy.

Science and All That Jazz

Low Dose Naltrexone is prescribed at doses between 0.5-4.5 mg, which at that low dose briefly blocks the opioid receptors for a few hours. Subsequently a rebound effect occurs, with increased production of endorphins, resulting in an enhanced feeling of well-being, as well as a reduction in pain and inflammation. (Psychology Today, 2019)

The only side-effects that were found in any patients using LDN for depression were vivid dreams due to a deeper sleep.  These subsided after a few weeks and only returned if the dosage was increased.  Other side effects were headaches and GI issues, both due to possible dehydration from their bodies working appropriately for the first time in years.  When this happens, our bodies begin to use and need the water as intended instead of feeling swollen from GI blockages etc.

Beyond Our Products

Although we committed an entire blog to our new favorite wonder drug, we also see benefits in minor or major life changes to help with certain chronic pain disorders and depression.  To reach a true sense of well-being daily in our world today, there must be focus and determination.  Leave plenty of room for self-care, reflection, prayer, yoga, sitting in a park, playing with a puppy, volunteering, travel etc.  All of these things along with a list of thousands of others can help us lead a depressed-free life.  Depression and anxiety can often lead to chronic pain or vice-versa, so as much as we love LDN, we love self-care even more… and puppies, we love the most!

Tip of The Day:

Herbs have it!  Planting an herb garden can bring more peace, joy, flavor and financial benefits than you probably know.    Gardening has been said to lessen stress by more than 50% due to its effects on our brain balance, much like doing a puzzle.  It allows our minds to decompress without completely checking out because we are still using our minds, just not in a stressful way. More benefits include the flavor you’ll be able to add to your everyday meals without breaking the bank at the store.  Some of the most popular herbs for planting indoors are rosemary, basil, thyme, chives, mint, and oregano.  If you are new to the herb world, maybe start with 3 and take it from there.  You’ll be feeling less stressed in no time, not to mention gaining a new skill in your repertoire.  Cheers to spicing things up while you’re winding down!
