My journey using only Elite products!!

A little under a year ago I had lunch with a friend that seemed to be aging WAY better than I was.  Once I got past my envy, I told her how great she looked and wanted to know her secret.  Turns out, she was excited to share everything with me because she understood the shoes I was living in.  Old, tired, worn out, scuffed up, ragged old shoes!  It was time for a change!

Where Do I Start??

This was, of course my first question to her.  She told me to go see what’s really going on first.  Meaning, go get my labs done.  The BIGGEST issue that was shockingly revealed was my lack of Testosterone.  I wasn’t just low, mine was seriously non-existent.  WHAAAAT?  I had no idea and when I looked up the signs of low-T in women, it might as well have been a portrait of yours truly.

To Save some of you the Trouble…

Here are a few signs and symptoms of Low-T in Women: (source, Medline Plus)

A woman’s testosterone levels naturally change throughout her life, her menstrual cycle, and even at different times of the day. A woman with low testosterone does not contain enough to help produce new blood cells, maintain sex drive, or boost levels of other reproductive hormones.

Testosterone belongs to a group of hormones known as androgens.

Testosterone levels affect:

  • fertility
  • sex drive
  • red blood cell production
  • muscle mass and fat distribution

Most people think of testosterone as a male sex hormone, but everyone requires a certain amount. While males have more testosterone than females, female adrenal glands and ovaries produce small amounts of this hormone.

Symptoms

Low testosterone can cause one or more of the following symptoms in women:

  • sluggishness
  • muscle weakness
  • fatigue
  • sleep disturbances
  • reduced sex drive
  • decreased sexual satisfaction
  • weight gain
  • fertility issues
  • irregular menstrual cycles
  • vaginal dryness
  • loss of bone density

Causes

The two main causes of low testosterone are:

  • diminishing levels of the hormone as a normal result of menopause and aging
  • problems with the ovaries or the pituitary or adrenal glands.

Testosterone decreases naturally as a woman ages. Levels of other hormones, such as estrogen, also reduce over time, especially when a woman reaches menopause.

Around the time that menopause begins, a woman may be more likely to have less testosterone because the ovaries are producing fewer hormones.

So, What Did I Do?

I got the pellet!

Yep, the Testosterone Pellet was my first step towards feeling like myself again.

And, not only felt like myself, I felt BETTER than myself.

My friends commented on my energy, while my husband noticed my newfound spirit in the boudoir.  It was definitely a WIN/WIN!  The only downside was the second It started wearing off after about 10 weeks, I noticed.  So, I got right back in to get m second round of pellets and haven’t stopped T-Therapy at all for one year.  I get my levels checked regularly and maintain perfect levels for me.

There’s More to This Story…

After feeling comfortable with the T-therapy, I knew a few other things came up in my initial lab-work that needed attention as well.

I was also low in a few key vitamins, like D and B-12.  In all reality, I needed a big BOOST of everything, but had no clue how to make that happen.

Along came CJC and Glutathione!

WHAT IS CJC 1295 IPAMORELIN?

CJC 1295 / Ipamorelin is a combination of 2 peptides. It is a Growth Hormone releasing hormone that stimulates one side of the pituitary gland. It does this in order to produce growth hormone. Ipamorelin mimics the ghrelin and binds to the ghrelin receptor in the pituitary gland in the brain. Thus, it also acts on the pituitary gland in order to produce growth hormone.  These two peptides combine to act together in order to increase HGH (human growth hormone) produced in the body. The CJC 1295 / Ipamorelin combo is able to achieve this by acting in two different families of receptors.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CJC 1295 IPAMORELIN

Benefits of CJC 1295 & Ipamorelin include but are not limited to:

Increased Bone Density

As we get older, our bones get brittle, that is why injuries are more common.

Strengthens the cardiovascular system

Increase in muscle mass

More muscle mass = higher metabalism = less body fat

The ability to burn fat

As we mentioned, with an increase in muscle mass allows the body’s resting metabolic rate is boosted leading to more calories burned throughout the day.

Increased Sex drive

Guys (proverbial guys, that means girls too). Sex his huge. I don’t care what anybody says, it’s a vital part of our health, our mood, everything. Not being able to function properly sexually can really take a tole on your mental well-being

Improved Recovery and Repair from Injuries

Being on a proper bio-identical hormone replacement therapy program leads to an overall improved state of well-being. This adheres to recovery time (soreness) and acute musculoskeletal injuries.

Strengthens Immune System

Personally, what I can notice and I can attest to being on hormone replacement therapy, being on the CJC 1295 Ipamorelin.. I don’t get sick. It is a tremendous benefit when you are trying to attain optimal health and that is achieved by having a strong immune system

Improves cognition and memory function

It is an improved overall benefit to the body, this includes focus and feeling mental clarity and sharpness throughout the day.

improves Insulin Sensitivity

CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin improves insulin sensitivity thus reducing the body’s triglycerides. High blood sugars are reduced which helps burning more body fat.

The CJC Timeline

Glutathione

Overview

Glutathione is an antioxidant produced in cells. It’s comprised largely of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine.

Glutathione levels in the body may be reduced by a number of factors, including poor nutrition, environmental toxins, and stress. Its levels also decline with age.

Glutathione benefits

  1. Reduces oxidative stress

Oxidative stress occurs when there’s an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the body’s ability to fight them off. Too-high levels of oxidative stress may be a precursor to multiple diseases. These include diabetes, cancer, and rheumatoid arthritis. Glutathione helps stave off the impact of oxidative stress, which may, in turn, reduce disease.

An article cited in Journal of Cancer Science and Therapy indicated that glutathione deficiency leads to increased levels of oxidative stress, which might lead to cancer. It also stated that elevated glutathione levels raised antioxidant levels and resistance to oxidative stress in cancer cells.

  1. May improve psoriasis

A small study indicated that whey protein, when given orally, improved psoriasis with or without additional treatment. Whey protein had been previously demonstrated to increase glutathione levels. Study participants were given 20 grams as an oral supplement daily for three months. Researchers stated that more study is needed.

  1. Reduces cell damage in alcoholic and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease

Cell death in the liver may be exacerbated by a deficiency in antioxidants, including glutathione. This can lead to fatty liver disease in both those who misuse alcohol and those who don’t. Glutathione has been shown to improve protein, enzyme, and bilirubin levels in the blood of individuals with alcoholic and nonalcoholic chronic fatty liver disease.

A study reported that glutathione was most effective when given to people with fatty liver disease intravenously, in high doses. Participants in the study also showed reductions in malondialdehyde, a marker of cell damage in the liver.

Another small study found that orally administered glutathione had positive effects on people with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease following proactive lifestyle changes. In this study, glutathione was provided in supplement form in a dose of 300 milligrams per day for four months.

  1. Improves insulin resistance in older individuals

As people age, they produce less glutathione. Researchers at Baylor School of Medicine used a combination of animal and human studies to explore the role of glutathione in weight management and insulin resistance in older individuals. Study findings indicated that low glutathione levels were associated with less fat burning and higher rates of fat storing in the body.

Older subjects had cysteine and glycine added to their diets to increase glutathione levels, which spiked within two weeks, improving insulin resistance and fat burning.

  1. Increases mobility for people with peripheral artery disease

Peripheral artery disease occurs when the peripheral arteries become clogged by plaque. It most commonly happens in the legs. One study reported that glutathione improved circulation, increasing the ability of study participants to walk pain-free for longer distances. Participants receiving glutathione rather than a saline solution placebo were given intravenous infusions two times daily for five days, and then analyzed for mobility.

  1. Reduces symptoms of Parkinson’s disease

Parkinson’s disease affects the central nervous system and is defined by symptoms such as tremors. It currently has no cure. One older study documented intravenous glutathione’s positive effects on symptoms such as tremors and rigidity. While more research is needed, this case report suggests that glutathione may help reduce symptoms, improving quality of life in people with this disease.

  1. May help fight against autoimmune disease

The chronic inflammation caused by autoimmune diseases can increase oxidative stress. These diseases include rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, and lupus. According to one study, glutathione helps reduce oxidative stress by either stimulating or reducing the body’s immunological response. Autoimmune diseases attack the mitochondria in specific cells. Glutathione works to protect cell mitochondria by eliminating free radicals.

  1. May reduce oxidative damage in children with autism

Several studies, including a clinical trial reported, indicate that children with autism have higher levels of oxidative damage and lower levels of glutathione in their brain. This increased susceptibility to neurological damage in children with autism from substances such as mercury.

The eight-week clinical trial on children aged 3 to 13 used oral or transdermal applications of glutathione. Autistic symptom changes were not evaluated as part of the study, but children in both groups showed improvement in cysteine, plasma sulfate, and whole-blood glutathione levels.

  1. May reduce the impact of uncontrolled diabetes

Long-term high blood sugar is associated with reduced amounts of glutathione. This can lead to oxidative stress and tissue damage. A study found that dietary supplementation with cysteine and glycine boosted glutathione levels. It also lowered oxidative stress and damage in people with uncontrolled diabetes, despite high sugar levels. Study participants were placed on 0.81 millimoles per kilogram (mmol/kg) of cysteine and 1.33 mmol/kg glycine daily for two weeks.

  1. Can help reduce respiratory disease symptoms

N-acetylcysteine is a medication used to treat conditions such as asthma and cystic fibrosis. As an inhalant, it helps to thin mucus and make it less paste-like. It also reduces inflammation.

Glutathione is found in some foods, although cooking and pasteurization diminish its levels significantly. Its highest concentrations are in:

  • raw or very rare meat
  • unpasteurized milk and other unpasteurized dairy products
  • freshly-picked fruits and vegetables, such as avocado, and asparagus.

I can SEE and FEEL the Difference…and so can everyone else around me!

In Closing…

I was on a date with my husband last weekend for my 46th birthday and that’s when it all came to fruition.

Earlier that, I sent him a picture of me and our oldest son (who had come in to surprise me for my birthday).  My husband sent back this message, “You look like the most beautiful girl in the world.”  He’s always sweet to me about things like that, but never has he used those words.  Then, he wouldn’t stop texting me about the picture.  He absolutely could NOT get over how much I had changed in one little year.  We compared pictures and it was CRAZY.  All of these little changes were REALLY making my skin, hair, body, sex-drive and attitude go back in time.

Tip of the YEAR!
