Stop taking all blood thinners (NSAIDs, aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen sodium, etc.) one week before the procedure; however, if you required to take any of these daily, consult with your physician.

Your EvexiPEL provider will perform a comprehensive blood panel and discuss your results with you after.

You will go to the exam room and have your insertion site cleaned and numbed, most commonly this is the upper buttock. Once numb, a small incision is made for the pellets to be inserted and after pellets are placed, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage. This will take less than 15 minutes.

We recommend taking a break from lower body exercise, not including walking. You should avoid swimming, hot tubs, and bathtubs, but you can shower 24 hours after the procedure.
