Dr. Darrel Pierce was raised in Arlington, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University. He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he earned his medical degree. After finishing his medical education, Dr. Pierce entered the United Sates Air Force where he completed a residency in Family Medicine at Eglin AFB, Florida. After residency, he was stationed at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming. There, he helped provide medical support for Vice President Dick Cheney. He served seven years in the air force before starting practice in East Texas. He maintains active membership in the American Academy of Family Practice, where he is a diplomat, and is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Pierce, his wife Melinda and their six kids have made Sulphur Springs home for the past nine years. They are very involved with their church and started Compassion For The Fatherless, a nonprofit organization, which provides support for foster children in Hopkins County and orphans in the Philippines. He is very excited about opening the first concierge medical practice in Sulphur Springs. “With God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26
