About

Dr. Pollan earned her Medical degree and Board Certification in Anesthesiology in her native country of Cuba in 1991. After moving to the United States in 1994,Dr. Pollan had the privilege to practice hands on as a House Physician at Baptist Hospital of Miami in the surgical department where she developed vast professional and training experience in different procedures. She completed her second
residency training and became Board Certified at Texas Tech University in Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Pollan became an associate to a group of Internal Medicine in St. Petersburg, Florida for two years, where she practiced traditional Family  Medicine. She opened her own practice in 2011 in Palm Harbor-Safety Harbor. Her passion of being a clinician and patient advocate drove her to research in hormone therapy among other subjects. Dr. Pollan found fulfillment in helping her patients regain confidence once their hormone levels were corrected.

Throughout her life, Dr. Pollan has been her motherʼs health care provider and care giver. Her mother suffers from a chronic illness that has been and ailment in her life for more than 20 years. Providing care for her mother has helped Dr. Pollan through the years with her own patients. As a full-time care giver, she has learned to be more compassionate and understanding to the impediments of her patients.

Dr. Pollan is very active in the medical community through participation in association
events and holding or memberships.

Other activities:

Dr. Pollan is an active Christian and is a sponsor of Food for The Hungry, an organization which helps in feeding, educating, and housing of
children in third world countries.
