    ​Dr. Shabnam Qasim is a Board Certified Internal Medicine doctor that has been practicing in Fort Worth for over 15 years. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in 1999 at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to her rotation as an internal medicine resident, she completed a year residency in a psychiatric practice which she especially enjoyed. She has applied this experience to her practice specifically to help patients reach the root cause of their chronic diseases rather than just treating the symptoms.

     Dr. Qasim is very passionate about helping patients with weight loss. She feels individuals who struggle with their weight are so often discriminated against and judged by the medical community rather than treated for a medical condition.
