Born and raised in rural Southern Illinois, Dr. James Cable came to Texas in 1981 for his medical residency and decided to stay. Dr. Cable has practiced non-surgical medical care of the spine for 30 years.

Discovering that many of his patients suffering from chronic pain had lower sex drives, prompted him to do further testing proving that low hormone levels are much more common among pain patients. He sought ways to help patients feel better. Through his research, Dr. Cable found that bio-identical hormone replacement therapy was as an excellent way to improve his patient’s health and wellness. Diet, exercise, holistic medicine, and hormone optimization are keys to success. In recent years, optimization of hormone levels has yield great success in dealing with a variety of symptoms.

When he isn’t treating patients, Dr. Cable leads an active life and has participated in competitive bodybuilding, distance running and community theater. He also sings bass in his church choir. Dr. Cable is the proud father of twin daughters and several “adopted” children, all grown up.
