Leah Atkinson, MSN, MS, RN, FNP, NP-C

Leah Atkinson received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University in 1988. Atkinson has a clinical nursing background in a variety of settings to include bone marrow transplant stepdown/oncology at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA; adult intensive care, mother-baby unit, and home care service at facilities in Spokane, WA; rural hospital staff nursing at Paynesville Hospital in Paynesville, MN; home care and hospice services for St Cloud Hospital Home Care in St Cloud, MN; and Licensed School Nurse for the Paynesville School District in Paynesville, MN. Atkinson’s special interest in adolescent health led her to complete her Master of Science, Public Health Nursing, Adolescent, at the University of Minnesota in 2010. Atkinson entered a Family Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree program at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY. She worked for 2 years on the Navajo Reservation, then moved to the Chama Valley in 2015 where she started her own private practice.
