About: Naturopathic, doctorate prepared registered nurse Monica Janyes’ early career as a registered nurse was inspired by her desire to help people be well and her interest in nutrition and families. She continued her studies by completing my Master’s of Science in Nursing and is a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Monica’s interest in natural health started in 1975 after her two daughters were born and faced unusual health symptoms including asthma, allergies, repeated tonsillitis and other viral and bacterial infections. In search for answers to family health issues, Monica learned more and more about nutrition. A close family member’s cancer diagnosis and a grandchild’s health challenges, as well as the Lord’s leading, prompted Monica and her daughter to study several different methods of healing the weakened body. For the past six years, the two have studied under prominent leaders in the natural healing and integrative medicine arena. In October 2014, Monica and her daughter graduated from Trinity School of Natural Health with Doctor of Naturopathy degrees. They are members of the Pastoral Medical Association as well, both entities being based on the Christian faith. “The Lord led us to start our natural health practice in the Rockwall area, and we feel very blessed and have faith that He will continue to lead us, as we are His instruments to help all of His people as they come our way,” Monica says.
