About: Wendy Rivera is a board certified acute care nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in the medical industry. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Baylor University. As Wendy pursued her nursing career, she realized that she loved direct patient care, acute care, surgery, aesthetics, hormone optimization therapy and other areas of anti-aging and integrative medicine. These passions prompted her to pursue a Master of Science degree in nursing as an Adult and Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas.

During her career, Wendy has worked in many areas of medicine, including intensive care (ICU), oncology, general surgery, plastic surgery, (PACU) surgical recovery, as well as aesthetics. She has also served as Director of Nursing for a surgery center. Wendy continues to attend advanced training courses to keep abreast of the latest information, technology, products and techniques to offer the best skills, training and evidence based medicine to patients. She is a member of the America Association of Nurse Practitioners, Dermatology Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau – National Honor Society of Nursing. Her eye and skill in aesthetic beauty, attention to detail and especially her ability to listen to patients is what has kept Sage Aesthetics & Wellness patients coming back time and again.
