Get on a Regular Sleep Schedule<\/h2>\n<p>Easier said than done, but <strong>making a conscious effort to slow down and rest<\/strong> when you can <span style=\"background-color: #f6d5d9;\">is\u00a0<\/span>a huge help to your immune system.<\/p>\n<p>When you get poor sleep, or you\u2019re sleep deprived your body will increase its cortisol levels which can <strong>suppress immune system functions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Increase Vitamin Intake<\/h2>\n<p>Providing your body with the right nutrients is essential. Be sure to stock up on <strong>Vitamin C, Echinacea, and Zinc<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to discuss your health concerns with your doctor. They should be able to help you determine the vitamins you need this cold and flu season.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Watch Your Sugar and Alcohol Consumption<\/h2>\n<p>We know it\u2019s easier said than done, especially during the holidays, but the truth is s<strong>ugar and alcohol can suppress your immune system<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re not saying you have to skip out on all the holiday goodies but remember moderation is key.<\/p>\n<h2>4.
