What is a Family Constellation?
The Family Constellation is a powerful, powerful experience that I was introduced to almost 6 years ago. Bert Hellinger is one of the main developers of this method based on his experiences with the Zulu people, and subsequently, with many other groups of people from all over the world. His worldwide message is that families hold unresolved traumas and each generation gets a chance to heal the trauma through love. Hellinger developed a method to facilitate this ‘order of love’ in groups of people who generally don’t know one another, but who come together for the common purpose of the constellation.
What is the Family Constellation like? What can I expect?
In its most simple form, you can expect to sit in a classroom in a circle with up to 40 other people to jointly participate in helping four families resolve a specific issue through proxy. Who are the families that we will be working with?
We will work with 4 families that are determined ahead of time. Contact me directly (click here to send an email) if you want to be one of these Families of Focus. (You don’t have to gather all of your family members to be a Family of Focus! Just yourself!)
Why would I want to come if I don’t work on my own family?
Here’s where it gets interesting! You will sit in a healing ‘morphogenetic field’ (a what?). This ‘field’, most famously studied and written about by Rubert Sheldrake, is the field of information that is accessed during a constellation. It’s like having a supported opportunity to practice ‘tuning’ in your internal ‘radio’ to the station that may show you patterns that are specific to you for understanding and resolution. You may be chosen to represent a person in one of the Families of Focus. This “role” that you serve in usually connects with some pattern that is active in your life right now and offers YOU resolution at the same time that you are in service to the Family of Focus.
What if I’m not intuitive? I don’t have any skills for this.
Perfect! Actually it is very effective regardless of what ‘skills’ you have or don’t have. Just regular people are all that’s needed to make a constellation successful. The morphogenetic field takes care of it. Every time.
