{"id":1852,"date":"2015-05-05T18:47:34","date_gmt":"2015-05-05T18:47:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/c1mdevsite.com\/navacenter.com\/?p=1852"},"modified":"2020-10-19T18:48:24","modified_gmt":"2020-10-19T18:48:24","slug":"the-gazette-company-hopes-rockville-dc-expansions-will-be-first-of-many","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/c1mdevsite.com\/navacenter.com\/the-gazette-company-hopes-rockville-dc-expansions-will-be-first-of-many\/","title":{"rendered":"The Gazette: Company Hopes Rockville &#038; DC Expansions Will Be First Of Many"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><em>Nava adding locations to Chevy Chase, Columbia offices<\/em><\/h3>\n<div>by Ryan Marshall Staff Writer<br \/>\nGazette.net | Maryland Community News<br \/>\nPublished: Tuesday, April 21, 2015<\/div>\n<p>A holistic health practice with a location in Chevy Chase expects to open soon in White Flint, with plans to expand to other parts of the country as well.<\/p>\n<p>Nava Health and Vitality Center, which also has a location in Columbia in addition to Wisconsin Circle in Chevy Chase, plans to open an office on Old Georgetown Road in the Pike &amp; Rose development in September, according to CEO Bernie Dancel.<\/p>\n<p>The company also plans to open an office on M Street in Washington, D.C., in May.<\/p>\n<p>The four offices are the first of what Dancel hopes will be a nationwide chain, offering a holistic approach that Dancel called \u201cthe best of East-meets-West medicine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said he thinks the Washington-Baltimore area could support 15 to 20 locations, and he is also eyeing South Florida, Texas, Arizona and the New York-New Jersey region.<\/p>\n<p>The company looks for communities of health-conscious, higher-income areas with aging populations, usually 40 years and up, Dancel said.<\/p>\n<p>It also seeks out locations near higher-end retail stores where its customers would likely shop, such as Whole Foods Market, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Nava offers physicians, chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists and other practitioners in what Dancel said is an attempt to treat the root causes of patients\u2019 afflictions in addition to their symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>Dancel said Nava focuses on treating symptoms of aging, such as menopause, andropause \u2014 aka \u201cmale menopause\u201d \u2014 anxiety, fatigue, \u201cbrain fog\u201d and low libido.
