It’s time to honor the unsung heroes of the event and exhibit marketing world.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>The Expo Group Exhibit Marketer of the Year Award i<\/strong>s all about the people \u2013 those\u00a0<\/span><\/span>living the tradeshow life, boosting ROI, capitalizing on trends, negotiating with vendors and spreading the marketing messages of their respective organizations.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nNominations are now open<\/u><\/a> and the awards will be handed out soon at the E2MA Red Diamond Congress in Orlando as part of Engagement World <\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Here is an excerpt of an\u00a0interview with the inaugural winner, Glenda Brungardt, CTSM from Hewlett Packard, as she shares her\u00a0experience at the awards event and the importance of recognizing those who strive for excellence in their field.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Exposure: Did you enjoy the EMY Awards event?\u00a0 Where is your award right now?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Glenda:\u00a0 <\/strong>Yes \u2013 very much enjoyed the awards event and wish more could be there to experience it.\u00a0 My award is sitting on my bookcase in my living room.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Exposure: What qualities do you think an outstanding Exhibit Marketer should have and why? <\/strong><\/p>\n The Exposure: Tell me why you think the EMY awards are important.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Glenda:\u00a0 <\/strong>There are so few ways to get widely recognized in our industry as an exhibitor and so to be recognized in the presence of others in the industry is an honor.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Exposure: What would you say to people who are reluctant to nominate someone for an EMY award?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n Glenda: <\/strong>This is one simple way to showcase the work and passion of a colleague.\u00a0 \u00a0Yes, it takes (some) time but so do the forms we fill out for every show and the orders we place.\u00a0 It\u2019s sad to think that we have become SO busy that recognition has fallen by the wayside.\u00a0<\/p>\n Glenda Brungardt is the Tradeshow\/Event Manager for the Printing and Personal Systems Group for Hewlett Packard.<\/em><\/p>\n Anyone in marketing and trade shows is invited to nominate an Exhibit Marketer who values service and delivers excellence.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Check out past winners and more info here<\/a><\/u>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Honorees\u00a0<\/span><\/span>will be recognized in the industry press, and The Expo Group will donate $500 to the charity of their choice. Glenda: <\/strong>So many here – Coach and mentor, strategic yet logistical, know when to micro-manage and then step back and look at bigger picture.\u00a0 But most importantly, let those on your team do their job.\u00a0\u00a0 You brought a team together, so let them be that \u2013 a team.\u00a0<\/p>\n
