He got his start in the business over 20 years ago when a friend asked him if he wanted to move to Florida and sell trade shows. Dan\u2019s response? \u201cThat sounds great! What\u2019s a trade show?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dan grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, but don\u2019t call him a Tar Heel \u2013 he\u2019s a lifelong NC State Wolfpack fan and graduate. As you might expect of someone living in the Sunshine State, Dan enjoys spending his free time out on his boat, working on his golf game and enjoying the perks of being a grandfather to Charlie, who was born this year. Another fun fact: Before becoming an event professional, Dan had a stint working at a nuclear power plant.<\/p>\n<p>Dan says he really enjoys developing new customers into long term business partners and friends. \u201cOpening a show is great\u2026I enjoy the camaraderie and the dedication by our team to deliver a great product to customers.\u201d\u00a0 When asked about any advice for other event professionals during this downtime? Dan says he can\u2019t wait for the industry to get back in gear again but until then try to keep yourself busy. \u201cDo something that you\u2019ve never had time for before. Like gardening, or drive somewhere cool.
