Events Update: Chiropractic Care and Common Fitness Injuries

Events Update: Chiropractic Care and Common Fitness Injuries
April 23, 2014
Last Thursday night we featured an event focusing on “Common Fitness Injuries and Treatments”.
Nava Director of Chiropractic Care, Russ Antico, shared from an integrative perspective, how to recognize, prevent, and treat some of the most common injuries experienced by active individuals.
He covered many well- known areas of injury such as; the rotator cuff, elbow, knee pain, planter fasciitis, lower back, disc and spine.
Dr. Antico stressed the importance of working within ones limits and communicating with your doctor. Another great subject covered was how to continue to exercise when injured; just because you’re injured, does not mean you need to stop all exercise!
I took special appreciation to the last statement due to my recent injury which has required me to wear a boot for the past nine weeks!
I am definitely taking advantage of the team at Nava and the integrative approach. The integration, partnered with strategic products and services, is giving me high hopes that I will return to my optimal fitness level and recover from my broken leg very soon!
Don’t worry if you missed last night’s event, because we have another coming right up.
Mark your calendar for May 1st.
Nava Director of Massage Therapy, Juliet Keating will discuss the therapeutic value of massage and focus on the benefits of four modalities; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and Myofascial.
I look forward to seeing you there!
