Events Update: Recipe Makeover Recap and More!
March 31, 2014
It was a busy week at our Columbia Nava Center, with not one, but two awesome events.

Thursday we featured a “Recipe Makeover” event.

Nava Director of Nutrition, Ana Goldseker shared with the group some of her best tips for choosing healthy meal alternatives.
Ana took everyone step by step through an average day of meals, starting with breakfast, and closing with my favorite meal, dessert!
Whether cooking for one, two or an entire family, Ana gave the group great tips to eat and cook healthier meals.
Nava’s infamous smoothies were flying off the trays, and the Sun Warrior powder we use for our smoothies flew off the shelves.
Ana is a huge fan of the smoothie and she is right, what a yummy idea for breakfast in the morning and so easy too!
Ana’s healthy recipes were such a hit, the crowd begged for another “Recipe Makeover” event later this spring. We know just what to focus on too, upgrading our favorite BBQ & Cookout meals, so keep an eye out!

On Friday we held a special invitation only event for fitness experts.

Our topic was, “Enhancing Your Overall Fitness by Optimizing Your Performance and Recovery”
Friday, the Center was filled with fitness professionals who had the opportunity to listen to the great mind of Dr. Mark Sivieri, Nava’s very own Medical Advisor. After Mark’s presentation about optimizing athletic performance and recovery, the group spent some time in a lively Q&A.

Everyone who attended also signed up for two complimentary services; IV Micronutrient Therapy and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy!

It was a really informative event and all of our presenters provided actionable and educational information for attendees.

Coming up next!

Keep an eye out for our next Center event, featuring Nava’s Medical Director Dr. Douglas Lord, and Director of Chiropractic Care, Dr. Russel Antico.

The event will review the most common injuries experienced by active individuals. There is sure to be some great information on managing recovery.

More details to come!
