I have always been interested and passionate about health and wellness.

I had a friend that was a chiropractor with a very successful practice, which was wellness focused. She introduced me to massage as a therapy.

I believe the body can often heal itself with the proper support.
Massage is an excellent way to support the body’s natural healing mechanism. I have found that people seek out massage therapy for relief from pain or stress. What has been most compelling for me professionally is witnessing people’s lives change in response to massage therapy.
Massage can be an effective catalyst to the adoption of other healthy habits and changing the overall quality of life.
I have witnessed the transformative effect massage therapy can have firsthand. One of my clients lost a significant amount of weight because massage helped with pain issues, allowing her to exercise. Another client found that she was able to eliminate her water retention medication after years of use, once she began regular reflexology sessions.
I feel that massage is a bridge between eastern and western therapies.
As I mentioned earlier, massage helps to support the body’s natural healing process, which makes massage an excellent adjunct therapy.  Massage is particularly well suited to integrative therapy.
Often times, massage is looked at as a recreational practice. I have always practiced with a therapeutic focus and am enjoying working with a team of professionals with the same intentions.
Massage partners extremely well with Acupuncture, Chiropractic and other treatment options.
I have experienced patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation citing a significant reduction in side effects if they received massage therapy during treatment.
Integrative therapy and treatment has a place in the future of medicine and overall health and wellness.
I have seen clients that were leveraging multiple practitioners at the same time for the same issue, desperate to find relief.  I have had many clients come to me during and after physical therapy treatments to find relief from pain.
I cannot count how many clients have remarked that they experience better results with massage therapy and acupuncture, but their insurance only covers physical therapy, so they are financially driven to seek care through limited options.
This is one reason the concept that Nava Health & Vitality has launched is appealing to me as a practitioner.
At Nava, offering affordable integration and access to practitioners who can truly identify and treat the underlying cause is my definition of proper care!In addition, most practitioners only understand what they have been taught within their discipline and their idea of integration is to offer additional services within the same building without talking about the client.

I have owned, managed and ran, wellness centers and programs for over 13 years. Being a great practitioner is one thing, but understanding how to build an educated team and program is quite another. Putting the client’s needs first is the foundation of true integration.

At Nava our integration is about talking with each other and sharing methods and goals for clients individually.
Throughout my career, I have worked hard to implement wellness programs into corporations and businesses. Nava Health & Vitality is championing the movement of total health and wellness and making integrative therapy accessible to consumers.
This is why I have joined the Nava team; I believe their approach to integration is the key to achieving real and lasting results.
Putting something together on this scale with this much integration is a challenge and an opportunity to educate the public about the benefits of alternative therapies like massage.
It is very exciting for me professionally to contribute my years of experience to a program that matters.
