It has been a super busy two weeks for Nava Events!
The Nava Center was packed again last Thursday night! Juliet Keating, our Director of Massage, discussed the therapeutic and health value of massage. What was really cool was that Juliet focused on four specific massage modalities; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and Myofascial.
Dr. Keating stressed how important it is for the therapists to be problem solvers, to understand the underlying causes of why one is in pain or has inflammation. For instance, how do you sit when you’re at your desk all day? What are your daily activities? How is your diet? Your lifestyle is an important indicator of what could be troubling you.
The Therapists at Nava are dedicated to helping you heal and learn.
What I personally found the most interesting was the Reflexology modality It was fascinating to learn about kinetic chains and our body’s energy zones to provide balance and healing. It’s not just used for pain relief but for hormone balancing, stress relief and rapid healing!
As if that was not enough excitement, we took our show on the road this weekend to support a cause we feel passionate about, finding a cure for Diabetes!
We setup a Nava table this past Saturday at the “Tour De Cure” event, which is held in all 50 states by the American Diabetes Association. We provided Nava smoothies to participants and had the opportunity to talk to some amazing athletes and advocates.
We were thrilled at the turnout!
It was really inspiring to see so many Marylanders at this event, riding to support finding a cure for diabetes. Go Maryland!
Our final stop was on Monday evening with our good friends at Princeton Sports.
They held an outdoor spin event hosted by Spin 90 and it was AWESOME!
So much fun to see so many riding enthusiasts enjoying a beautiful Maryland evening and a great way to support the Columbia community!
