Is there a way to sort my courses in the authoring tool? 

You can have multiple workspaces for each category of courses. For example, one workspace/organization called ” ‘company’ admin” another ” ‘company’ HR” and another ” ‘company’ field services” or whatever. Then when you login you will see all your workspaces listed and you can click into the one you want to work in.

You can also sort the courses in one workspace or account alphabetically, chronologically or by category.  In order to sort by category, your courses need to be assigned to a category.  This is done within the course settings page.   Simply add a category into the category field, and this will populate in the “Show Category” drop down list.
